autumn’s sweet, we call it fall;

it's done, it's done :star: and i love it quite a bit.

i did this drawing very quickly the other night right before bed, and i liked it, but it probably would have never have been completed if it hadn't have been for =SpookyChan; she's the one who inked it.

for me, inking is quite hard anyway (very shaky hands) and i didn't think i'd do good with this one at all. =SpookyChan printed it and inked it traditionally, rescanned, and let me color it. i was very excited when i got it back, so much so that took it to work the other day and also to school this afternoon to work on it. TwT anyway, it's so wonderful that both of our styles come through with it; definitely it's my drawing, but there are parts that have the spooky-look, imo, particularly the shape of her face and the wrist/hand. those are my two favorite parts.

the most astounding thing about this is that chan-chan was able to make such sense of my lines and ink them so well. most of the time, i'm not even able to do that very well. @ @; and she did it in very little time, too.

so! drawing by me, inks by chan-chan, which i softened and added sharp points and linebreaks to and then colored in photoshop. the leaves were done with the help of some default brushes. and again, thanks so much, chan-chan. *loves* i definitely couldn't have finished this without help. i feel so lucky~


p.s. - as for the subject, aki, her first full name (nariwataru aki) roughly translates to 'echo of autumn' or summat, so there you have it. also, her hair is actually quite thin.. you should all ignore me, drawing her freakin' repunzel style every time, hahaha.

Beautiful pic, with great shading and composition.
It looks like a calendar page! Very nice, even the backgroung texture matches the leaves.

It's the color that strikes me here, though the character herself kicks ass. This is a superb piece and both you and SpookyChan should be proud of it. Amazing.
